On 22nd March I trotted along to Paper Tiger-a monthly poetry venue at the TEAHOUSETHEATRE (for some reason, this always comes out as big shouty letters, when I key it in). Too terrified to eat first-a big mistake that, it turned out.

Signed up for a floor spot with the genial Joe, who is host, photographer, publisher and manages the event with consummate charm and gentle encouragement.

Followed 3 dense hours of Poetry performance, with an international cast of poets, the well published and well known, the lesser known and ‘poetry virgins’-first-timers at Paper Tiger, like me.

I read Change, the love poem to my husband; Waiting List, one of my NHS poems (and not the best choice for the night, in retrospect ); ending with Puddings (getting hungry by this time) one of The Very Now Poems…..
