  • A London infant transplanted to Berkshire, Surrey & Manchester (childhood); Birmingham (aged 11); Sheffield (late teens) studying ineffectually, exploring Derbyshire, Yorkshire and post (?) hippie culture.

    Early 70s: Back in London, employed by international booksellers (Bloomsbury) before the internet was a thing.

    Studying Drama, acrobatics and photography: photographer, community artist & performer with the Raree Show. 1st ever gig on stage with the Rolling Stones.

    Secured semi-derelict housing in S London, establishing Housing Cooperative, Conmunity Garden and the Bonnington Centre-all still thriving.

    After a rootless childhood, I stuck to the place like a fierce barnacle.

    Commenced 1st wave writing

    1980s-90s P/t tutor (ILEA)/f/t lecturer (physical education/Drama (ILEA/WAEI); formed own troupe; toured; one year studying mime in Paris; completed academic studies in London & Sydney.
    Married; one son; continued writing. Joined local Foxhall Women’s Writing Group.

    2000-2020: final performance work; coaching core skills (one-to-one)

    2021-4: commenced second wave writing; published Walking the River poetry booklet. Rejoined the writing group.
